Last year we posted about Nathan Jonson’s amazing Push Hero game, a great tool for rhythm training that started life as a fun learning resource for kids. Since we released the new version of Push, Nathan has been hard at work updating Push Hero, adding a slew of new songs, new features, new animations, plus the ability to add your own songs. It’s also now much easier to use (and comes with a “secret level” that features robot vocals).
Push is the music making instrument that perfectly integrates with Ableton Live. Make a song from scratch with hands on control of melody, beats and structure. Just received Push 2. Connected it to the computer, launched Live, and it autoupdated the firmware. After that, most of the time, when I connected Push 2 to the computer, I'd get a complaint from Windows about failed device-driver installation.
To test Push Hero 2 we set up two Push units in two-player mode using MIDI Sync and invited some Abletons in to find out who the real heroes are.

With the right settings, a compressor can also double as a limiter, but in Ableton Live we have compressors and a limiters as separate devices, which keeps things a bit more immediate. Unlike most audio effects, a compressor doesn’t have a characteristic sound. Ableton limiter download.
